Governments, Countries and Universal Law
Below you will find information on established governments, those under the MUC (Mainstream Universal council, oftentimes derogatorily referred to as the "Muck" and positively referred to as "The Blightsteel Overseers") and those not underneath it's jurisdiction. There will also be some small notations on legalities regarding wars, technologies, and other things set by the MUC. Note that while the MUC makes these laws, any worlds not compliant with the MUC may ignore them. This has led to wars and conflicts of interest in the past.

Neuropa

Neuropa controls the region around The Ice Spire on the planet Nexion, although "control" is a loose term as most local indigenous tribes do not recognize their authority and regularly feud with the nation.
While most Neuropa citizens are human, elvish or shai, a number of frostma have recently settled in alongside these settlers in hopes of seeking aid and shelter from the territorial Nexians that also live within Neuropa's border.
Neuropa's military primarily uses unstable black powder and firearms dubbed "smoke rifles" by foreigners, similar to muskets but modernized for the environment.
In recent years, some Neuropan dignataries have met with the Iruk of shaia in an attempt to gain a better political foothold in the region. This has led a number of iruk to also travel to Neuropa and Nexion itself.

Crimsica

Rulers of The Crimson Coast, Crimsica is often called the "Shai Council," "The Crimson Councils, "The Three Queen's Coast," and "The Shai High Council." Officially the MUC designates them as The Three Thrones or Crimsica.
Crimsica is ruled by three queens, each of whom sits atop a throne - one gold, one silver and one bronze. The color of the thrones represents the power each queen holds, and these queens are picked via the population of their region. This means holding lands, high birth rates and having many loyal workers directly equates to status within Crimsica. The country is split into many regions, each of which is owned by a large family and a number of smaller familes which skirmish for power.
Their government has a High Council which meets beneath The Three Thrones once a year to discuss major political issues and tally their population. Higher population regions are considered stronger and more prestigious, while lower populated regions must fight for any scrap of power they can.
When the leader of a region dies, two things happen. Either it goes straight to a family member of their choosing before their death, or a vote of no confidence in the family is called. If over half the population votes no-confidence, other royal families can attempt to enter the voting process to claim ownership of the region for themselves.
If a region's population overtakes one of The Three Queen's regions, the two rulers hold a popularity vote across the entire crimson coast. Whichever loses can either step away gracefully or demand a trial by combat.
