Peoples of the Universe
Sapient life throughout The Worldwalker Universe takes many forms. There are many different peoples, races and cultures. Here we will list general races and the culture of their homeworld, however note that while their homeworld culture may be one way individuals within a race may practice cultures from different regions. The universe is as vast as it is diverse.

Humans
With no known homeworld due to just how spread out their population is, humans are all over The Worldwalker Universe.
Naturally, humans cannot use magic outside of extremely rare cases. Because of this if a human is capable of using magic, they tend to be a warlock or witch working beneath some form of patron entity.
Despite this lack of magic humans stand tall among the races. This is both in part due to their number but equally due to their ingenuity and adaptability. While many other races are stuck in their ways, humans move, change and quickly come to terms with new situations.
Much of human history is lost, especially in regards to the human connection with Earth.

Shai
Shai originate from Shaia. It's estimated a little over eighty percent of shai are capable of using at least small amounts of household magic, with more competent magi making up the upper sixty percent.
They are quite similar to humans otherwise, with similar physiques. However with their bodies being enhanced by natural magic, most are at least twice as strong as the average human.
Shai believe family and bloodlines to be incredibly important. This is due to bloodline magic which many high-ranking shai families have. These magics differ and are entirely unique to individuals within their bloodline.
Because of their animalistic features, some shai are more sensitive to noise or better at keeping their balance with their tails. Some are even capable of secreting venom.

Mennequil
Mennequil originate from Eva, a planet known for jungles and hives. Their forearms are covered in armored carapace as are their shins and backs, although the exact amount of carapace each mennequil has depends on region and genetics.
Some mennequil also have wings, although these are predominantly found on Eva. Mennequil were one of the first races to start working with solar energy, being responsible for the first solar gliders and solar-powered space stations. Likewise they are ingenious in their farming and hunting methods, having developed agriculture to a massive scale.
Mennequil are not capable of using magic, however due to their armored carapace and two hearts they are extremely durable and hard to kill.

Rinju
Rinju are from the city world of Metropolis II, thriving on the unsettled continent across the bridge connecting the city to the wilds.
In recent times Rinju have began spreading out more throughout the universe, specifically to Shaia and Rosalvinia. Some Rinju are shamanistic, channeling energy from the ethereal plane to speak with spirits and wield the power of elemental magic. This magic is normally done through totems and tomes.
Rinju are omnivores and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. All are capable of running on both all fours and standing on two legs. Many have antlers and thick tails.

Heavian
Heavians come from the planet Heavion, oftentimes referred to as the failed world or apocalypse planet. Their homeworld is destroyed by war and famine. Disease and corruption run rampant, and their once magically inclined race has lost the ability to tap into the ethereal plane or natural magics.
Despite this Heavians are hearty people. From a young age most are taught how to use firearms and weaponry, and survival skills are a must in their society.
Their names warn of what waits for those who do not fend for themselves or recount events which are important to their history. Their glowing eyes pierce through the dark.
Because of this some underestimate them, viewing the entire race as "gloomy elitists." But if you've ever seen one in action, you'd know you should take them seriously yourself.

Scorlik
Scorlik are small in stature...at least in regards to most other sapient races. Each stands at about a foot and a half tall and two to three feet long.
Well-known to be mischievous and full of energy, Scorlik are found all over the known universe. The most famous of their tribes are from Erdfresser, Shaia and Rosalvinia.
For many years scorlik were viewed as slaves or assistants. Due to their smaller stature and strange nature, they were not treated very well. This all changed during their march on the capital city of The Crimson Coast on Shaia, in which they demanded proper treatment among other sapient races.
Now they work everywhere. Some remain in their clans, but others have fully integrated into every corner of the universe.

E-human
E-humans are humans from earth. Unlike other humans, they are naturally able to use magic upon tapping into the ethereal plane - although this takes some effort for them to figure out.
Due to tradition, in times of need an E-human will be brought to the MUC and the galaxy of blightsteel, torn away from their home via the slipstream. These individuals are selected completely at random and oftentimes do not have a long shelf life. Those who survive, however, become legendary.

Rukotaur
Often mistaken for Shai, Rukotaur have both human and animal ears - setting them apart from shai, who only have animalistic ears. They are the result of crossbreeding between humans and shai. Not every child will be a rukotaur, but roughly half are.
Like shai most are capable of magic, however in some shai circles they are disliked due to being "tainted" by human blood. In most civilized countries and regions, however, Rukotaur are welcomed with open arms.
Their homeworld is unknown, although it is theorized they first appeared on AV10. This would make sense as a large human population lives on AV10 and it is the moon of Shaia, homeworld of the shai.

Elf
Elves can be found everywhere. Magically inclined and one of the most ancient races in the known universe, their homeworld of Rosalvinia has been drastically changed in recent years due to magical anomalies and other oddities.
On Rosalvinia elves channel magic from the very celestial energy of the planet itself, operating within the forests, basins, oceans and plains in particular.
For a long time the elvish population was very isolationist, but this has changed. Now they spread out among the other races, having children and waging wars like all the other races.

Coralhorn
Coralhorns can be found on Aquillon and are rare beyond the planet. Their bones are full of condensed magic energy, and as such are a commodity on the black market.
They live long lives and are incredibly magically powerful, so much so locally many are referred to as "Gods or Goddesses of Aquillon."
While they are not immortal, nor are they gods or goddesses, it is true they possess an incredible amount of magic power - more so than most could ever hope to achieve. They wear gems and shells, using materials from the oceans of aquillon.
This is hampered by a simple fact. They almost always only specialize in water magics due to the environment they are raised in.

Iruk
Iruk come from the nothern regions of Shaia. In ancient times they warred with the shai. They lost and were almost all but wiped out, however in recent years their numbers have begun to skyrocket.
Many of the tribes still hold a deep-rooted hatred for the denizens of the crimson coast, however others are happy to integrate with the rest of the civilized world and learn about their neighbors.
Iruk are capable of shamanistic magics, however their magi are few in number. Their culture and technology is old, and they specialize in the usage of magic ice found in the Elatriel region and beyond.
