The Struggles of a Creator - DMCA Abuse Warnings
Talking about the ongoing DMCA harassment I've been receiving from someone VERY upset that I'm actually making something.

DMCA abuse is a disgusting thing many people on the internet have widely described as cowardly, pathetic and downright disgusting. Creators such as moistcritikal, royaltyishere, someordinarygamers and many others discuss this regularly happening on Youtube among other places.
What many people don't know is the DMCA is regularly abused elsewhere as well. A long time ago, a guy named FalterXV was part of my community - and he loved it here. He glazed my character designs and even tried to insert himself into the ongoing world I was building. After a falling out, he was banned from my community and now watches everything I and many of my friends do like a hawk.
Now, I've been hit with DOZENS (at this point over twenty) fraudulent DMCA's similar to the one shown below. This is an unfortunate reality of content creation online and it's why having backups and files uploaded on the cloud are so important to protect your own work. If, for some reason, this video goes down - no worries! I have it archived elsewhere and it'll be back up shortly, but this is a fantastic eample of what classic DMCA abuse looks like. Note that all information in the video is public.

A lot of people don't know what the DMCA is, and that's because most normal people won't need to use it. It's SUPPOSED to be used to protect ones own branding and work, stopping unauthorized individuals from uploading or redistributing images and work that is not theirs. If you've seen our previous update from the start of this month, you'd know that we directly shared these images on the website showing texture and environmental progress done by the 3d artist working on our assets for Project Leumen.
This individual, FalterXV, has taken it upon himself to steal these screenshots in an attempt to claim ownership of assets and works that are not his while also DMCAing down twitter posts from my account that showed the original work. Note that anyone under the name "James Colwell" or "FalterXV" has no affiliation with this site, they're essentially the equivalent of a scorned ex who is butthurt I and this community have moved on from them. As you can see in the above video, his DMCA is completely baseless and he's just using it in some weird attempt to get my accounts banned. Unfortunately for him, it takes like 3 seconds to make a new twitter - and being as I've done nothing wrong, that's pretty much how I'll continue to handle things.
This is also why the worldwalker universe twitter continuously changes handles and will probably continue to do so for a long while. My hope is eventually I'll be able to get this handled by the CCB, a copyright board here in the US, but unfortunately that takes time and the individual participating in this behavior is well-known for their illegalities. In fact, James Colwell was actually banned for his behavior in the past from the CCB after attempting to impersonate a family member to continue his DMCA abuse.
If you ever decide to make something yourself - a website, a video, a youtube channel, a twitter, make sure you save archives of most of what you do! It can help you in the long run deal with this sort of thing. Hopefully, none of you will attract the attention of anyone as insane as Falterxv!
I'll have another update shortly regarding the progress of more models being made, but for now, if you missed our previous update - take a look via the button below!
